Senior Vice President, Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT)
Raslan has held a number of high senior management positions in key government agencies over the past thirty years. He is currently a Senior Vice President of Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), an agency under MOSTI. Raslan led MIGHT International team to provide secretariat ship for Global Science Innovation Advisory Council (GSIAC) together with New York Academy of Sciences from 2012-2017. He drive strategic initiatives in the area of clean, green and renewable energy, sustainable cities and communities and Industry 4.0. Raslan was appointed as National Program Director for Global Sustainable Cities Integrated Approach Pilot Project for Malaysia which funded by Global Environment Facility (GEF) and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Prior to joining MIGHT, Raslan was Founding Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Malaysian Innovation Foundation (MIF). He pioneering the establishment and operationalization of MIF as new entity under MOSTI to champion grassroot innovation. Previously, he was Under Secretary of ICT Policy Division, MOSTI from 2006-2009. Throughout his service, he had covered major areas of ICT policy planning, implementation and monitoring. He was entrusted to coordinate and manage ICT Cluster includes supervision of ICT agencies. Raslan started off his career 30 years ago as Coordinator for Corporate Planning Division of MIMOS (Malaysian Institute of Microelectronic Systems) and grew with the government R&D powered house through its corporatization process along the years. Among Raslan’s contribution to MIMOS includes played a key part in the corporatization of MIMOS Berhad and facilitate establishment of partnership and distributed labs with industry partners locally and internationally.
